Savage Model 99EG Rifle (Chambered in .300 Savage, Circa 1937)

Here’s another great opportunity to own a historic Savage Model 99EG, manufactured in 1937, just before World War II. This standard weight rifle features a 24-inch barrel and is chambered in the classic .300 Savage, making it a reliable choice for any hunting enthusiast.

This specific Model 99EG showcases a smooth finish with a plane unchecked pistol grip stock, a feature that is increasingly hard to find, as Savage stopped producing these models in 1940. The rifle also features a Schnable forend and comes equipped with a steel butt plate that displays the iconic Savage insignia.

In overall good condition, this rifle retains approximately 85-90% of its original finish, with some patina visible around the lower part of the receiver. Please note that the front blade sight is missing. As with all Savage 99 models, it includes a cocking indicator on the top of the receiver and a round indicator on the left side, adding both functionality and character.

The walnut stock and forend provide a classic aesthetic, while the hardened steel receiver ensures durability. This is a unique pre-World War II Model 99EG with an unchecked stock that presents a remarkable opportunity to own a piece of history. Don’t miss your chance to add this distinctive firearm to your collection!
