The Model 74 is designed with a tubular magazine housed in the buttstock, allowing for convenient loading of ammunition. It sports a plain walnut pistol grip stock with a semi-beavertail forearm, offering a comfortable and solid grip.

This specific Model 74 is in excellent condition, retaining approximately 90% of its original blueing with only minimal signs of usage. All safety functions are operational, and the tubular magazine in the rear is in excellent condition. The rifle features a steel butt plate, and ammunition is loaded through a side opening in the stock; simply remove the tube from the rear of the butt plate, drop in your cartridges, and reinsert the tube to apply pressure for feeding.
